Airspace Standards and Calibration requires flight calibration of radio
navigation aids and flight inspection of instrument departure procedures,
instrument enroute procedures, and instrument approach procedures. Flight
calibration and flight inspection encompass those tests carried out in
the air by a trained flight crew in a specially equipped aircraft to establish
the validity of signals in space of navigation facilities and the proper
installation of aerodrome and visual aids. |
