Mr. Schygulla currently serves as manager of NAV CANADA’s Flight Inspection Engineering organization. From1982 through 2003, he held various positions, including project engineer and senior systems engineer with Transport Canada / NAV CANADA’s engineering group, before assuming the manager’s position in 2003. Over the span of his career, Mr. Schygulla has been extensively involved in the areas of project management, systems engineering, hardware design, and aircraft installation certification. He also has experience in software development.

Mr. Schygulla has been involved in the development of Transport Canada’s original Digital Flight Inspection System (DFIS), aircraft antenna calibration and several enhancements to add MLS, SBAS GPS, DGPS position reference, VHF/UHF communications measurement and EMI detection and location capabilities to that system. He currently manages a project to replace NAV CANADA’s existing flight inspection system.

Mr. Schygulla served as exhibit coordinator for the 13th IFIS that was held in Montreal Canada in June 2004.
